The Relapse
The Commandery Players, in association with TAG, present The Relapse, a riotous Restoration Comedy from 1696 by Sir John Vanbrugh, the polymath who was also the architect of Blenheim Palace and Castle Howard in his spare time! The play follows the designs and machinations of Loveless and his wife Amanda, as they plot and scheme affairs of the heart and bedroom, and it features one the period’s most outrageous social climbers and fops, Lord Foppington.
It will be performed in the Commandery at Ansty, so bring a pre-performance picnic and enjoy a wonderful evening of high comedy in these beautiful surroundings.
